Claudio Citarella e' un bassista,
produttore e compositore italiano.
Nato nel 1968 a Benevento, inizia con lo studio
del pianoforte per poi passare al contrabbasso al
'Conservatorio Musicale Domenico Cimarosa'.
Suona il basso elettrico dal 1983 e
nel 1985 e 1986 partecipa alle Cliniques
della Berkley School di Umbria Jazz.
Si esibisce con numerose live bands
in tutta la penisola.
Nel 1988 comincia la
collaborazione con Anthony Caligagan
con il quale suona in Spagna, Francia e Svezia.
Prolifico turnista, collabora in vari progetti
musicali con Gam Gam, Paul Manners,
Roby Facchinetti, Vince Tempera,
Mauro Malavasi, Steve Ferraris, Nabuk...
Nel 1997 registra le linee di basso per l'album
di Gianni Morandi 'Celeste, azzurro e blu'
con il grande batterista Vinnie Colaiuta.

Claudio Citarella is a bass player,
producer & composer from Italy.
Born in 1968 in Benevento, he is moving his first
musical steps as a piano player and soon
switched to acoustic bass at the
'Domenico Cimarosa Conservatory of Music'
He has been playing electric bass since 1983
and already in 1985 and 1986 partecipates
at the Umbria Jazz Cliniques.
He then plays in numerous live bands
all over the country. In 1988 he starts the
collaboration with Anthony Caligagan
with whom he tours in Spain, France and Sweden.
As a prolific studio session's bass player
he works with Gam Gam, Paul Manners,
Roby Facchinetti, Vince Tempera,
Mauro Malavasi, Steve Ferraris, Nabuk...
In 1997 he records the bass lines for
Gianni Morandi's 'Celeste, azzurro e blu'
album with the great drummer Vinnie Colaiuta.
